Andriana Nikolova, MD, PhD, received her bachelor of arts in biochemistry and mathematics from Grinnell College. She obtained her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. Andriana was awarded a fellowship in cardiology and advanced heart failure and transplantation at Cedars-Sinai. During her fellowship, she joined the laboratory of Dr. Robin Shaw and the PhD program in Biomedical Sciences where she studied the role of the cardiomyocyte protein bridging integrator 1 as a key regulator of myocardial remodeling. Andriana has since joined the Advanced Heart Disease Program at the Smidt Heart Institute as a staff cardiologist, where she continues to participate in clinical and translational studies focused on novel biomarker discovery and validation.
