Victoria Dardov, PhD, received her bachelor's in neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). She then spent three years working at a pharmaceutical company before ultimately deciding to pursue her PhD at Cedars-Sinai. While here, she was co-mentored by Clive Svendsen, PhD, and Jennifer Van Eyk, PhD, where she gained expertise in both disease modeling and big-data approaches to begin answering questions pertaining to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) disease mechanisms. After graduation, she pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in the lab of J. Paul Taylor, MD, at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with a project focusing on stress granule biophysical properties. Most recently, she joined and will help expand the scientific arm of the company at Technome, a tech startup aimed at delivering data solutions for large multisite projects.
